Baptism / ​Bautismo

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made shares in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word" (CCC 1213)

El santo Bautismo es el fundamento de toda la vida cristiana, la puerta de la vida en el Espíritu y la puerta que da acceso a los otros sacramentos. Por el Bautismo somos liberados del pecado y renacemos como hijos de Dios; nos convertimos en miembros de Cristo, somos incorporados a la Iglesia y hechos partícipes de su misión: "El Bautismo es el sacramento de la regeneración por el agua en la palabra." (CCC 1213)

First Communion / ​Primera Comunión

The Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life" "The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries are works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch." CCC 1324

La Eucaristía es "fuente y cima de la vida cristiana." "Los demás sacramentos, así como todos los ministerios eclesiásticos y las obras del apostolado, están unidos a la Eucaristía y orientados hacia ella. Pues en la santísima Eucaristía se contiene todo el bien espiritual de la Iglesia, es decir, Cristo mismo, nuestra Pascua." CCC 1324

Reconciliation / ​Reconciliación

"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church with they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion." (CCC 1422)​

Confessions are on: 
Thursday 6pm-8pm
Saturday 2pm-3:30pm

​"Quienes se acercan al sacramento de la Penitencia obtienen de la misericordia de Dios el perdón de la ofensa cometida contra Él y, al mismo tiempo, se reconcilian con la Iglesia, a la que hirieron con sus pecados y que, mediante la caridad, el ejemplo y la oración, trabaja por su conversión." Confirmation / ​Confirmación

Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "Sacraments of Christian initiation," whose unity is to be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the recepetion of the sacramemt of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Chirst, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." (CCC 1285)

El Bautismo, la Eucaristía y el sacramento de la Confirmación constituyen en conjunto los "sacramentos de la iniciación cristiana," cuya unidad debe preservarse. Es preciso explicar a los fieles que la recepción del sacramento de la Confirmación es necesaria para la plenitud de la gracia bautismal. Pues "por el sacramento de la Confirmación, [los bautizados] se vinculan más perfectamente a la Iglesia y se enriquecen con una fuerza especial del Espíritu Santo. De este modo, como verdaderos testigos de Cristo, están obligados más estrictamente a difundir y defender la fe con palabras y obras." (CCC 1285)

Matrimony / ​Matrimonio

"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnershio of the whole life. is by its natur ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenand between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament." (CCC 1601)

​"La alianza matrimonial, por la que el varón y la mujer constituyen entre sí un consorcio de toda la vida, está ordenada por su propia naturaleza al bien de los cónyuges y a la procreación y educación de la prole; esta alianza entre bautizados ha sido elevada por Cristo Señor a la dignidad de sacramento." (CIC 1601)

​Holy Orders / Orden Sacerdotal​

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostels continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate. (CCC 1536)

​El sacramento del Orden es aquel mediante el cual la misión confiada por Cristo a sus apóstoles continúa ejerciéndose en la Iglesia hasta el fin de los tiempos; es, por tanto, el sacramento del ministerio apostólico. Comprende tres grados: el episcopado, el presbiterado y el diaconado. (Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica, 1536)

Anointing of the Sick / Unción de los enfermos​​

"By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may rise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contrubute to the good fo the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ." (CCC 1499)

Baptized Catholics who are seriously ill, facing advanced old age, or preparing for high-risk surgery can receive this sacrament. If you or a loved one are in need of an annointing, please call (970) 249-3319.

"Mediante la sagrada unción de los enfermos y la oración de los presbíteros, toda la Iglesia encomienda a los enfermos al Señor sufriente y glorificado, para que los alivie y los salve. Asimismo, los exhorta a contribuir al bien del Pueblo de Dios uniéndose libremente a la Pasión y muerte de Cristo." (CCC 1499)

​Los católicos bautizados que padecen una enfermedad grave, se encuentran en una edad muy avanzada o se preparan para una cirugía de alto riesgo pueden recibir este sacramento. Si usted o un ser querido necesita recibir la unción, por favor llame al (970) 249-3319.
