Representatives from the parish and standing committees join with the pastor
and staff in promoting the spiritual and physical aspect of St. Mary community
and in creating an environment for Christian growth.
Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month, at 7:00pm. These
meetings are open to all parishioners.
The goal of St. Mary Catholic Church Finance Committee is to keep the parish
in sound financial condition by being good stewards of our resources. The
Committee is appointed by and advises the pastor on financial issues and
provides semi-annual financial reports for the parish community. It
prepares an operation budget for each fiscal year and works closely with the
staff and program directors to provide a budget to meet the needs of our parish
community.
Committee meetings are held as needed, usually the 2nd Tuesday of the month
at 5:15pm in the parish center. Meeting dates are published in the parish
bulletin. If you would like to be included on the agenda, please call
Steve Dominguez at 249-3319.
The work of the Stewardship Committee is to encourage an understanding of
God's Word on stewardship; to give direction for utilizing peoples' time,
talent, and treasure within the parish; and to lend support and encouragement
for the stewardship lifestyle. The annual financial appeal, the Ministry
Fair, and the volunteer appreciation party are sponsored by this committee.
The Stewardship Team meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the
parish center. If you would like to be included on the agenda, please call
Ruth Sullivan at 249-3319.

The Liturgy Committee consists of clergy and representatives of each liturgical
ministry: Eucharstic Ministers, Lectors, Music, Environment, Ushers,
Greeters, and Altar Servers, plus a representative to Pastoral Council.
This group meets monthly, year-round, to pray, study, plan, oversee, and evaluate
liturgical celebrations. If you would like to be included on the agenda,
please call Sue Warren at 249-3319.
As Jesus said, "what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not
do for me." The Social Justice Ministry Committee seeks to assist the
parish community in maintaining a standard by which the benefits and penalties
of living in society are distributed in order to uphold fairness and equal human
dignity of all persons, especially the poor and vulnerable, in social, economic,
and political relationships. If you believe with St. James that "faith of
itself, if it does not have works, is dead," we invite your participation.
If you would like further details please contact Pidge Grey at 249-3589.
The St. Mary Steering Committee is assigned the task of coordinating
construction and renovation of the property at 1855 St. Mary's Drive.
Meetings will be scheduled as needed and will be open to all
parishioners. Watch the bulletin for announcements of meetings and more
information.
