Music Ministry

Music ministry is a vital part of our liturgies, and we are always seeking additional talent.  Our choir practices Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the church, September thru May.  There is also a seasonal children's Christmas and Easter choir, several cantors, an adult ensemble for the Sunday evening Family Liturgy and many talented accompanists and other instrumentalists (and always room for more!).  If you are interested in volunteering your talent, please contact Sue Warren, our music director, at 249-3319.

Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are members of the faith community who serve the people by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at liturgies.  They also respond to the needs of the ill and homebound by taking to them the Body of Christ.  Fully initiated Catholics are invited t this ministry.  Because of the special nature of the ministry, Eucharistic Ministers are commissioned with the Bishop's approval; they serve a three-year commitment, which includes annual training and formation.  If you are interested in being a Eucharistic Minister, please contact Yvonne Kuta at 249-3319.

Lectors

The Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations.  It is God who speaks when Holy Scripture is read aloud in the church.  Thus, lectors are privileged to assume the role of God's heralds in announcing the Good News of salvation.  The proclamation of the scriptures fosters a greater lover for the Word and deeper insight into its meaning, allowing others to live God's Word in their lives.  If you are interested in this ministry, please contact the Bob Balerio at 249-3319.

Altar Servers

We are always in need of altar servers and encourage the young people of our parish to participate in this ministry.  These children, boys and girls, who have made their First Communion and are in at least the 3rd grade, help the deacon and the priest during the Mass and other liturgical celebrations.  If your child is interested, please contact Florence Orndorff at 252-8336 or Nancy Romero at 249-6553.

Altar Bread Baking

This group of volunteers provide freshly baked bread for the Eucharist on a rotating basis.  Anyone interested in the rewarding ministry should call 249-3319.

Hospitality Ministers

Ushers and greeters help welcome and seat all people in our church.  They assist those with special needs.  Each usher or greeter is usually scheduled once each month or two, depending on how many are signed up for a particular Mass time.  We are always in need of people for this ministry.   If you are interested in either of these ministries, please contact Sue Warren at 249-3319.

Liturgical Environment

A creative, imaginative and energetic group who works on seasonal changes for our church's worship space.  When you sit in church and look at the environment, can you envision seeing something different?  We are always in need of good imaginations, people with more ideas and hands to carry out that vision.  Artistic or not - just being interested goes a long way.  Very few meetings are held.  Contact Sue Warren at 249-3319.

Altar Linens

Altar linens are prepared and cared for by volunteers.  One person is scheduled each month.  Please call Berta Lucero at 249-9578 if you would like to participate in this ministry.
